Digital deals available ahead of the big day.
The joy of digital storefronts is knowing you are completely detached from the experience of having to dodge a handbag to the face in the name of snagging that one final copy of 'Carnival Games' for the Wii., but that doesn't mean you can't put one more layer of insulation between you and the unwashed. In this case, Microsoft is giving Gold members on both Xbox One and 360 the royalty treatment, with members able to access a pretty wide swath of their Black Friday deals in the Xbox Store four days ahead of schedule, and at an additional 10% off compared to the Silver prices. Not that it matters too much, because if for some fool reason you're not already subscribed to Xbox Live Gold, Microsoft is offering a one-month Gold membership for $1 from today up until November 30th, long as you sign up through your console of choice.
Before you go hog wild on this smorgasbord, you should probably be aware that this weekend's offerings aren't everything that will be available, with heavy hitters like 'Witcher 3', 'Destiny The Taken King', and 'Rare Replay' abstaining until the big day. So, you might want to save a few bucks for next Friday, regardless. Still, there's some juicy morsels in this current list, including 'Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin' for $20, the Telltale Games Collection for $36, 'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' for $30, and a smattering of the backward compatible 360 titles for less than $5--including two of three 'Bioshock' games, with 'Infinite' being $7.49, if you wanna get an early jump on those. It's a HUGE list, though, so head over to Xbox.com to do some shopping. The deals as a whole will end on November 30th.
