Activision Scaling Back E3 Presence for 2016, But There Still Will Be a New 'Call of Duty'

Something more for Sony.

As E3 continues to shape up, Activision has announced plans along the lines of a much smaller footprint. One key Activision edifice for the show will be the new 'Call of Duty' in development at Infinity Ward, which will be on display at the PlayStation booth.

Beyond that, however, Activision will not have their own booth. In past years, Activision has had a huge booth built around 'Call of Duty,' 'Skylanders,' 'Destiny,' 'Guitar Hero Live' and so on. Not so for 2016.

Of course, it's reasonable to expect that Activision will be hosting various meetings off the show floor during the week of the E3. It's also possible that 2017 can be very different depending on what Activision has in store. For now, it seems that fans can look forward to indulging in a new 'Call of Duty' this June. (At least in terms of previewing. Expect the release to come in the holiday period for 2016.)
