The Freeman requires your help.
'Prospekt,' a fan-made sequel to a 6-year-old expansion to 'Half-Life,' is officially Valve-sanctioned and on sale on Steam, with a release date of February 11.
'Prospekt' continues the story of Adrian Shephard, a U.S. Marine who served as the protagonist of 'Half-Life: Opposing Force.' 'Opposing Force' was released in 1999 as an expansion for the original 'Half-Life' and was developed by 'Borderlands' dev Gearbox. 'Prospekt' takes place in the Nova Prospekt prison from 'Half-Life 2' as Shephard hurries to help series protagonist Gordon Freeman, who is not having an easy time fighting his way through the facility.
'Prospekt' features 13 levels filled with official 'Half-Life 2' assets, though the game is a stand-alone title and doesn't require owning 'Half-Life 2' to play. The lone developer on the project compares the game's length to that of 'Half-Life 2: Episode One.'
'Prospekt' can be bought on Steam for $10, though early-bird preorderers can snag it for $9. You can check out the official trailer below.
