Looks like a good year or so.
Microsoft's briefing was pretty much all about games, and many of those games were exclusive, AAA and never-before-seen. Here they are:
'Halo: The Master Chief Collection' features all four core 'Halo' campaigns, every multiplayer map of the series and the 'Halo 2' multiplayer in its original form. HD touchups, 1080p and 60 frames per second are promised.
A third 'Crackdown' game, thus far referred to without a number in the title, is finally shown after a year of speculation. The game will features some sort of upgraded multiplayer and is being built by the series' original director.
The free-to-play 'Happy Wars' is being ported over to the Xbox One, features cross-platform play and transfer from the Xbox 360 and a new character class.
'Dance Central Spotlight' takes the series into the digital age, and seems more a platform than a singular release. As a download-only title, Harmonix is planning on swift and efficient updating to the game's setlist.
'Ori and the Blind Forest' is an atmospheric, sidescrolling platformer/combat title.
Platinum Games 'Scalebound' features a dragon-riding protagonist with a scale-encased suit. A lot of large creatures fight it out in an alien forested environment.
'Inside' from Playdead, the people behind 'Limbo' seem to be taking their original idea to the next level (visually) on the Xbox One.
'Phantom Dust' is a reboot from the original Xbox days.
The other exclusive titles shown that we already knew about are 'Sunset Overdrive,' season 2 of 'Killer Instinct,' 'Forza Horizon 2,' 'Fable Legends,' 'Project Spark' (which is seeing a Conker-loaded science fiction upgrade) and, of course, 'Halo 5: Guardians,' of which there will be a beta this fall.
