$5 per character or $20 gets everything but the Ultra Edition content.
Microsoft and Double Helix continue to assure audiences that 'Killer Instinct' is back, but this time around there is some truth to the statements. First though, the don't call it a free-to-play game, now has an illustrated pricing structure.
'Killer Instinct' is coming free to every Xbox One, but only the no frills 'Jago' will be available to play. Those wishing to play any of the other expected eight characters can either pay $5 per character or $20 for all eight in the Combo Breaker Pack. Those eight include six at launch plus two more to follow.
There is one more option beyond the Combo Breaker Pack, and that is the Ultra Edition. For $40, the Ultra Edition nets the player the contents of the Combo Breaker Pack, that is eight playable fighters, plus the less defined characters accessory packs, character costumes, and most enticing of all, the original 'Killer Instinct' arcade game.
