Documentary and Live Event coming this July.
eSports and competitive gaming are on the rise, a rise which has been building steam for years. With multiple leagues, huge tournaments, and big money spread across genres and continents, eSports have more than arrived. For those on the outside looking in, it can be a mysterious scene, with teams and sponsors moving fast on a event to event basis. For those already into the scene, eSports are familiar but the rise is still a story, and one that is ongoing.
Such is the subject of director Patrick Creadon's comes 'All Work All Play: The Pursuit of eSports Glory.' 'All Work All Play' is described "a new behind-the-scenes documentary that follows the ascent of eSports, showcasing the best pro gamers in the world as they fight for the Intel Extreme Masters championship."
Subjects in the film may be familiar to those that follow the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) tournament tour, but more importantly, for those who want to really deep dive into the subject matter, the documentary is being paired with a follow-up live component, a live panel discussion featuring Michal "Carmac" Blicharz, managing director of pro gaming at ESL and hosted by Joshua "Clutch" Gray and a 2v2 pro face off in 'StarCraft II.'
The documentary and live event will be shown on July 21st, 2015 at 8:30pm ET in select theaters in select cities. An encore showing has been scheduled for July 30th. Full details on tickets and locations can be found here.
