'Overwatch' Second Closed Beta Pushed To February To Introduce New Game Mode

The next 'Overwatch' closed beta is now scheduled for a February launch, and the developers are using the intervening weeks to introduce a new game mode, Blizzard announced.

When the original 'Overwatch' closed beta launched in 2015, players could access two game modes, Point Capture and Payload. Because player feedback emphasized the need for more variety, Blizzard is introducing a third, yet unnamed, game mode.

The time until the beta reopens will also be used to further fine-tune the team shooter's progression and reward system.
