'Street Fighter's Akuma joins the Iron Fist Tournament.
'Tekken 7's already been out in Japanese arcades long enough to garner an update, subtitled 'Fated Retribution'; meanwhile, everybody in the Western hemisphere is just twiddling their thumbs, and sighing wistfully for a home release. The wait isn't getting any easier, either, with the new trailer for the game, revealed at the finale of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015 in Asia. The trailer had a huge surprise in store: Akuma from 'Street Fighter' will, apparently, be part of the roster, carrying out orders from Kazumi Mishima to do typical, murderous Akuma things things to her husband, Heihachi, and her son, Kazuya,
With the scarcity of details on the updated 'Tekken 7', one does wonder if this is a lead up to the long-in-development 'Tekken x Street Fighter', or even if 'Fated Retribution' actually IS a rejiggered version of what they were working on. Time will tell, of course. In Japan, that is. Sigh.
