Extra savings tacked on at checkout.
For the folks that maybe let their Prime membership lapse when Amazon jacked up the subscription price from $79 to $99 last year, you may wanna consider the re-up. With zero fanfare, Amazon slipped in Prime Member Savings on specified games when ordered direct from Amazon. The normal price will still show up in search results, but when you go through checkout, the dollars drop off.
It doesn't appear to be every title, but quite a few major ones are included, as well as some pre-orders, like 'Halo 5: Guardians,' 'Star Wars: Battlefront,' 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III,' 'Guitar Hero Live,' 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege,' and 'Tom Clancy's The Division.' Even some games that have already been released, such as 'Batman: Arkham Knight' and 'Splatoon,' are getting the special Prime Savings.
Amazon discounting game preorder were the norm for a long time, so hopefully, the Prime Savings are here to stay.
