Many more years of 2K-led 'WWE' games in store.
2K and WWE announced today that their partnership to make 'WWE' videogames has been extended a new multi-year agreement that grants 2K worldwide rights to develop and publish 'WWE' games across all major platforms and distribution channels. 2K will also continue to invest in 'WWE SuperCard', a card-battling mobile game by Cat Daddy Games that has been downloaded over 9 million times since its initial release in August 2014.
With 2K at the helm, the 'WWE' franchise has grown steadily each year, with 'WWE 2K16' being their most successful console entry to date. It's not clear exactly how long this publishing agreement will last, but if the success of the franchise is anything to go by, I doubt we'll see 2K taken off this franchise anytime soon.
