'Fallout 4' Sales Top $750 Million; Launch Sets Twitch Record

Bethesda announced some numbers this weekend regarding the explosive launch of 'Fallout 4,' including the 12 million copies shipped out to meet day-one demand and a sales total of more than $750 million.

In addition, 'Fallout 4' now holds the record for the most viewed game launch of the year on Twitch, Bethesda announced. The game also became the No. 1 played Steam game at launch, and the mobile companion app rose to the top among games in the iTunes App Store.

In terms of physical sales, Bethesda reported that some (unnamed) retailers named 'Fallout 4' as the most preordered game of the year, with others reporting that it set the year's record for launch day sales.
