Learn how it works with Bethesda's preview.

Mods are no longer exclusive to the realm of PC gaming. Starting Tuesday, mods will be coming to 'Fallout 4' on Xbox One, and Bethesda hosted a livestream to give interested players a quick run-down of how this system will work on the console.

Once the Xbox One update launches this week, players will be able to access the "Mods" menu on the game's opening screen. After logging in with their Bethesda.net account information, players can browse the catalog of available mods organized by popularity, rating, and category and add them to their personal mod library. Players can also browse and build their library online at Bethesda's mod page.

Once mods are in the player's library, they can begin to download and enable whatever mods they feel like experimenting with. There is, however, a storage cap of 2 GB, so if you're a fan of hefty mods, you might need to be a little choosy about what mods you want to have downloaded at the same time.

Players can also rearrange the mods they have enabled so that certain mods are downloaded first, in case one mod requires another to work properly.

Though console mods are currently limited to Xbox One, Bethesda has said that PS4 mods for 'Fallout 4' are still scheduled for June.

You can check out Bethesda's intro stream below, which includes a demonstration of the Xbox One mod process and a preview of a few individual 'Fallout 4' mods.
