Disney has released a new behind-the-scenes video for its upcoming Star Wars-themed land set to open at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

The featurette previews two of the main attractions for the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park, along with comments from Scott Trowbridge (Creative Executive, Disney Imagineering) and Carrie Beck (VP, Lucasfilm Story Group) about the land's immersive features.

The first ride, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, will place guests behind the controls of the famed ship that "made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs." As part of the attraction, visitors can participate in one of three unique flight crew roles. Meanwhile, the second ride, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is designed to thrust guests into an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order.

Check out the behind-the-scenes video below!

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is scheduled to open at Disneyland in summer 2019 (check out our prediction on exactly when HERE) and Walt Disney World in fall 2019. The land and its various rides and attractions will allow visitors to "become galactic travelers and live their own Star Wars stories in a galaxy far, far away." Likewise, in addition to the land itself, Disney is also building a complementary Star Wars-themed resort, offering a "fully-immersive, multi-day Star Wars adventure aboard a luxury starship complete with high-end dining, space-view cabins, and exciting action."

Beyond the rides and resort, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will also allow fans to explore the planet Batuu, stop by a street market in Black Spire Outpost, try franchise delicacies like blue milk, visit the Cantina, and more -- all while interacting with various creatures and characters from the Star Wars universe. And thankfully, the experience won't be without John Williams' iconic music, as the composer has been tapped to provide new and original Star Wars music for the park.
