The showdown between the Dark Knight and the Son of Krypton will be getting an R-rated Ultimate Cut in July.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers is working on 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition' for Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on July 19.
In “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Each release will feature two cuts of the film -- PG-13 Theatrical (151 Minutes) and R-rated Ultimate (182 Minutes) with only the Theatrical being 3D on the 3D version with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack and loads of supplements including: Uniting the World’s Finest; Gods and Men: A Meeting of Giants; The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder; Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile; Superman: Complexity & Truth; Batman: Austerity & Rage; Wonder Woman: Grace & Power; Batcave: Legacy of the Lair; The Might and the Power of a Punch; The Empire of Luthor; and Save the Bats.
