Continuing to expand their ever-growing lineup of next-gen titles, Warner Home Video has announced three new HD DVD and four new Blu-ray releases for October 31.
Leading the pack is the HD DVD debut of 'V for Vendetta,' which will hit the format with an In-Movie Experience interactive video commentary track, plus the exclusive "Director's Notebook: Reimagining a Cult Classic for the 21st Century" featurette.
Also hitting HD DVD on October 31st are the catalog favorites 'Excalibur' and 'Under Siege,' while Blu-ray fans can enjoy 'Unforgiven,' 'The Searchers,' the 2004 update of 'The Phantom of the Opera,' as well as 'Under Siege,' which is the only title in the batch to hit both formats simultaneously.
All seven titles will receive 1080p/VC-1 transfers, though audio specs have not yet been released. Extras on each will also match the standard def DVD releases, and Blu-ray titles 'Unforgiven,' 'The Searchers' and 'The Phantom of the Opera' will also mirror their already-released HD DVD counterparts.
The seven titles will retail for a suggested list price of $28.99 each.
We've added all seven titles to our HD DVD Release Schedule and Blu-ray Release Schedule, and stay tuned for remaining specs and box art to be revealed in the coming days.
