Jodie Foster will be packin' heat in high-def this February, when Warner brings 'The Brave One' to both Blu-ray and HD DVD/DVD combo disc.
Directed by Neil Jordan, the acclaimed vigilante thriller scored a $40 million-plus domestic
gross this past fall, setting the stage for a February 5 cross-format bow on Blu-ray, HD DVD and standard-def DVD.
Announced features are surprisingly slim for such a well-received title,
with the "I Walk the Streets" featurette and deleted scenes the only
extras.
Tech specs include uncompressed PCM 5.1 Surround on the Blu-ray, with the HD
DVD receiving a comparable Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround track. Both enjoy identical
1080p/VC-1 video encodes.
Suggested retail for the HD DVD/DVD combo and the Blu-ray versions is $35.98 a pop.
