'2010' to Get April Blu-ray Release

Warner Home Video has announced its latest catalog release, setting an early-April street date for '2010: The Year We Make Contact.'

The sequel to the Stanley Kubrick classic '2001: A Space Odyssey,' starring Roy Scheider, Helen Mirren, and Keir Dullea, will receive its high-def premiere on April 7.

There are no tech or supplement specs yet, but based on Warner's past Blu-ray catalog releases, expect 1080 video and bonus features comparable to the previous DVD version. As always, well keep you posted.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
