Universal has announced full specs for the Blu-ray release of 'The Mummy Returns ,' which the studio will launch this July with exclusive U-Control content.
As we first reported last month, Universal announced their premiere line-up of Blu-ray releases for this Summer, jump-started by a July 22 bow for the blockbuster sequel 'The Mummy Returns.'
The newly-unveiled tech specs boast a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p video (no codec specified) and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras will equal the previous HD DVD release, including audio commentary with director Stephen Sommers and co-producer Bob Ducsay, a quartet of featurettes ("Visual and Special Effects Formation," "An Army to Rule the World Part 2," "Spotlight and On Location of the Mummy," "Unraveling the Legacy of the Mummy"), deleted scenes, and an interview with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is a U-Control picture-in-picture track offering behind-the-scenes footage and filmmaker interviews.
Universal has not yet confirmed a suggested list price for 'The Mummy,' but we'll keep you posted.
