Universal Announces 'Death Race' for Blu-ray

Universal Studios has set a late-December kickstart for the action remake 'Death Race.'

Starring Jason Statham, this high-octane update of the '70s cult classic will rev its engines on Blu-ray December 23, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

Early specs will see both theatrical and unrated versions of the film on the same disc, plus BD-Live features (TBA) and Digital Copy.

Universal is expected to confirm full specs in the coming days, so we'll keep you posted.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
