Universal has announced a March arrival for their latest HD DVD catalog
release, the classic Chevy Chase comedy 'Fletch.'
One of Chase's most memorable big-screen adventures, 'Fletch' grossed nearly
$100 million worldwide back in 1985, and proved popular enough to spawn a sequel
in 1989's 'Fletch Lives.' Universal has announced a HD DVD release date of March
11 for 'Fletch' (no sign of 'Fletch Lives,' however).
Tech specs for 'Fletch' include 1080p/VC-1 video, and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround
and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround options.
Extras will mirror the recently-released DVD version, including three featurettes
("Just Charge It to the Underhills: Making and Remembering Fletch,"
"From John Cocktoastin' to Harry S. Truman: The Disguises," "Favorite
Fletch Moments") and the film's original theatrical trailer.
Suggest retail for the HD DVD is $29.98.
