'The Rocker' Coming to Blu-ray this October (UPDATED)

UPDATE 09/03/08: We've received word from Fox Home Entertainment that despite any online retail reports, the Blu-ray of 'The Rocker' has not yet been scheduled. Although the title is planned for release, official confirmation of a street date is pending. We've updated our database in the meantime, and will keep you posted..

In a early retailer alert, Fox is planning to bring the 'The Rocker' to Blu-ray this October.

Starring Rainn Wilson and Christina Applegate, the musical-themed comedy has so far grossed less than $10 million at the domestic box office. Fox will street the Blu-ray October 14, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

There are no supplemental details or tech specs yet, but we expect Fox's usual 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio presentation.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
