'Beyonce Experience' Comes to Blu-ray

Posted Jan 8, 2008 at 12:30 PM PST by Peter Bracke

The "Irreplaceable" songstress is at last ready for her high-def close-up with the February Blu-ray release of 'The Beyonce Experience - Live.'

Filmed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, 'Beyonce: The Beyonce Experience - Live' is a 130-minute concert extravaganza featuring the diva belting out all of her top hits, including such number ones as "Crazy in Love," "Bootylicious" and, of course, the inescapable "Irreplaceable."

First released on standard-def DVD back in November, Sony BMG has set a February 26 street date for the Blu-ray, marking Beyonce's first high-def release as a solo artist. (Sony previously released 'Destiny's Child: Live in Atlanta' on Blu-ray last year.)

Tech specs include 1080 video (codec TBA) and uncompressed PCM 5.1 Surround audio. Mirroring the standard DVD release, there are no announced bonus features on the Blu-ray.

Retail for the Blu-ray is $34.98.
