Sony has unwrapped final box art and specs for the horror hit 'Prom Night,' which will hit Blu-ray this August in a new unrated version with exclusive bonus content.
The slasher remake was originally announced earlier this month for a August 19 Blu-ray debut (day-and-date with the DVD), and promising extensive supplemental features.
Sony has now set final specs, which include an unrated version of the film spread over a BD-50 dual-layer disc, with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Extras shared across both versions include audio commentary with director Nelson McCormick and cast, deleted scenes and an alternate ending (with optional commentary), and a suite of five featurettes ("Bridgeport High Vikings Video Yearbook," "A Night To Remember: The Making of Prom Night," "Profile of a Killer," "Gothic Spaces: Creating the Pacific Grand Hotel," "Prom Night Photo Album: Real Prom Stories From the Cast").
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a Bonus View (Profile 1.1)-enabled picture-in-picture storyboard track, as well as a BD-Live polling feature dubbed "Where is the Best Place to Hide a Body?"
Finally, here's a look at the final Blu-ray box cover for 'Prom Night,' which replicates the original theatrical key art:
As previously announced, Sony has set the suggested retail price at $38.95 for the Blu-ray.
As always, you'll find final specs for 'Prom Night (2008)' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under August 19.
