Continuing to broaden its rapidly-expanding Blu-ray library, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring Pedro Almodovar's acclaimed drama 'Volver' to next-gen day-and-date with DVD on April 3.
The film, which features an Academy Award-nominated performance by Penelope Cruz, is not the typical action-heavy fare usually pushed by the studios when they are launching a new video format. It is also the first Almodovar movie to hit high-def, which makes the release even more notable.
No specs yet, however, though we expect the usual 1080p video and uncompressed PCM tracks that have become standard on Sony Blu-ray titles.
Retail has been set at $38.95.
We'll keep you posted on full specs as they come in, but for now we've added a fresh listing for 'Volver' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule under April 3.
