The 1994 "period drama" 'The Wackness' is bound for Blu-ray, with Sony Pictures announcing a January next-gen bow with multiple bonus features and Dolby TrueHD audio.

Enjoying only a limited release in theaters this past summer, the Ben Kingsley-Mary-Kate Olsen-starrer will debut on Blu-ray January 6 (day-and-date with the standard DVD).

Extras include audio commentary with director Jonathan Levine and star Josh Peck, three featurettes ("Keeping it Real: A Day in the Life of Writer/Director Jonathan Levine," "Time in a Bottle: Behind the Scenes of The Wackness," "The Luke Shapiro Show Episode 1") and deleted scenes.

Tech specs will see 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.95.
