'The Natural' Announced for Blu-ray

The 1984 baseball drama starring Robert Redford as Roy Hobbs will (hopefully) hit a home run on Blu-ray in April.

Sony Pictures is working on 'The Natural' also starring Robert Duvall, Glenn Close, Kim Basinger, and Barbara Hershey for a Blu-ray release on April 6.

The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, likely a lossless soundtrack, and supplements will include: When Lightning Strikes: Creating the Natural; For the Love of the movie... and the Game; A Natural Gunned Down: The Stalking of Eddie Waitkus; Knights in Shining Armor: The Mythology of "The Natural"; The Heart of The Natural; BD-Live; and movieIQ.

Suggested list price for the Blu-rays is unconfirmed at this time.
