Sony Pictures has announced a mid-August Blu-ray bow for the Chinese fantasy drama 'CJ7.'
Directed by Stephen Chow, the family-friendly tale of a young boy who learns valuable life lessons thanks to a magical new toy, 'CJ7' enjoyed only a limited theatrical release in the U.S. but will get a wider push when Sony releases the film on Blu-ray August 12 (day-and-date with the standard DVD).
Among the numerous extras is an audio commentary with cast and crew, four featurettes ("The Story of CJ7," "Anatomy of a Scene," "How to Bully a Bully," "How to Make a Lollipop"), the "The Making of CJ7" International Television Special, and a set of CJ7 Profiles.
Tech specs boast 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.40:1), and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround tracks in both the film's native Chinese and dubbed English.
Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.95.
