The Renaissance will finally hit Blu-ray when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Sofia Coppola's acclaimed biopic 'Marie Antoinette' just in time for Valentine's Day.
Though perhaps not a breakout hit on the level of Coppola's award-winning 'Lost in Translation,' 'Antoinette' was a well-reviewed, good-looking spectacle that should make fine eye candy on Blu-ray. Due February 13, 2007, the release will feature a 1080p/MPEG-2 transfer and English PCM and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround tracks.
Extras are set to include a "Making of 'Marie Antoinette'" featurette, deleted scenes, and something called "Cribs with Louis XVI." There will be no high-def supplements exclusive to the Blu-ray release.
Retail will go for a suggested $38.96 list.
Full specs for 'Marie Antoinette' can be found by clicking the link for the film under Feb 13 in our Blu-ray Release Schedule, and stay tuned for box art in the coming days.
