'Heavy Metal' Blu-ray Best Buy Exclusive

The on again/off again 1981 animated cult classic has been put back on the release calendar as a retailer exclusive.

As previously reported, Sony was working on 'Heavy Metal' starring the voices of John Candy, Eugene Levy, and Harold Ramis for Blu-ray on January 25 before being canceled without any reason given, but now it will be available exclusively at Best Buy on February 1.

"The otherworldly tale of a glowing green orb that spreads destruction until confronted with pure goodness. Lavish animation and score."

Supplements include Imagining Heavy Metal and Deleted Scenes and the pricing will be $16.99.
