Fans of big rubber snakes, mark your calendars: Sony has announced an early-June Blu-ray release for the camp-fest 'Anaconda.'
Despite laughably bad CGI and a snake who could out-act stars Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez, 'Anaconda' went on to be a surprise box office hit, eventually grossing over $50 million and spawning a pair of even more forgettable sequels.
Sony will give the film it's first-ever Blu-ray release on June 2 (the studio previously released a DVD version in 1998.)
Tech specs will see 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
There's no word on bonus features as of yet, but we'll keep you posted.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.99.
You'll find the latest specs for 'Anaconda' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under June 2.
