A new update is available for the wireless speaker.
After an initial beta run, Sonos has officially released the latest update for its Play:1 speaker system. The upgrade offers sound quality enhancements, support for a simpler home theater setup, and new music streaming options.
As part of the controller update, the Play:1 now includes the ability to view upcoming and previously played tracks in shuffled playlists. Likewise, the upgrade also includes new Google Play Music features like curated radio stations, recommended radio stations, the option to add and remove tracks or albums from your library, and auto playlists based on activities like rating tracks. Finally, the download offers updates for the TuneIn music service as well, including improved navigation, design, and album art.
The new Sonos update is now available. The Play:1 is currently on sale for $199.
