Samsung Reveals New Home Theater Systems

Posted Mar 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM PST by Mike Attebery

New Samsung HTiBs will be hitting the shelves over the next few months, including the sub $1,000 3D capable HT-C6930W.

The general rule is that if you’re willing to put in the money and effort, separate components make a better home theater. Samsung’s new systems may not be the exception, but they’re incredibly attractive at the price.

What may be the most appealing option in the line is the HT-C6930W. It’s got a built-in DSP for vertical sound, 1080p DVD and Blu-ray playback, 7.1 channel surround sound and the ability to play back 3D Blu-rays. It comes out this April at $899.

The most powerful of the upcoming HTiBs is the HT-C7530W. It sports a Touch of Color that’s nature inspired and features a warm, wood-grain texture. It’s a 5.1 channel system, but it’s got a total of 800 watts pumping through it. It comes equipped with a Wi-Fi dongle and a gig of built-in memory. You’ll be able to pick this one up in May.
