New 4K content is finally on its way to Samsung Ultra HD TVs.
Samsung and M-GO have announced the launch of M-GO's Ultra HD content library on Samsung 4K TVs.
"We're excited to partner with M-GO to deliver our customers the purest UHD streaming experience," said Eric Anderson, Vice President of Content and Product Solutions at Samsung Electronics America. "Samsung has a long history of technological innovation, and by working with M-GO, we will bring our customers an unparalleled viewing experience and provide customers more choice and access to UHD content at home."
M-GO's 4K library will initially consist of a few select titles, but the collection is expected to grow to more than 100 movies and TV shows by the end of the year. 4K pricing will be about $1-2 more than HD content for rentals, and about $3-5 more to own. The company's Ultra HD library is currently exclusive to Samsung 4K TV models.
"The image quality of M-GO 4K Ultra HD content delivered through Samsung's market leading UHD TVs will truly impress viewers with unprecedented picture quality," said M-GO COO Christophe Louvion. "Our close collaboration with Samsung allows us to be first to deliver a best in class streaming experience for movie buffs and TV lovers on Samsung's new Ultra High Definition TVs."
M-GO now joins a growing number of 4K digital content providers, including Sony and Netflix. Likewise, Amazon has reiterated plans to offer Ultra HD Prime Instant Video content by the end of 2014.
