'Skyrim' is the biggest title on PC this year by a factor of three-to-one.
Bethesda has come a long way since making 'Arena,' the first game in the Elder Scrolls series. 'Skyrim' isn't quite making 'Modern Warfare 3' sales figures, but the company has already shipped 10 million copies worldwide.
That's a huge success, but what might be even more significant is looking at PC specific sales. 'Skyrim' has outsold every other PC game of 2011 by a significant margin - three times the sales of the next highest title. It's also the fastest selling game on Steam.
"We are most grateful to our fans for their support and enthusiasm for the game, and their love of the hundreds of hours of gameplay it offers," says Robert Altman of ZeniMax, the folks who own Bethesda. "We continue to strive to deliver the highest quality entertainment experience for everyone."
