Patrick Swayze Dead At 57

The actor famous for his roles in films like 'Dirty Dancing,' and 'Ghost' along with guilty pleasures like 'Road House' and 'Point Break' has died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Swayze's publicist announced the sad news this evening.

Despite being named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, Swayze was well known for his down to earth attitude and the light-hearted approach he took to picking roles that often became parts of sleeper hits.

He is survived by Lisa Niemi, his wife of of more than 30 years, as well as his mother, the choreographer Patsy Swayze.
