Paramount Readying 'Revolutionary Road' for Blu-ray

Posted Mar 18, 2009 at 10:10 AM PDT by Peter Bracke

Paramount has announced it is bringing 'Revolutionary Road' to Blu-ray in early June.

Reuniting stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on-screen for the first time since 'Titanic,' 'Revolutionary Road' was initially pegged as one of the sure bets of the 2008 Oscar season. Subsequent reviews were mixed, however, and the Sam Mendes-directed marital drama only managed a disappointing $22 million domestic gross.

Paramount will debut the Blu-ray of 'Revolutionary Road' on June 2, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) and English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.

Supplements include audio commentary with Mendes and screenwriter Justin Haythe, the featurette "Lives of Quite Desperation: The Making of Revolutionary Road," and deleted scenes.

Exclusive to the blu-ray is an additional featurette, "Richard Yates: The Wages of Truth."

Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.95.
