'Drillbit Taylor' Blu-ray Specs, Box Art In

Posted May 20, 2008 at 08:00 AM PDT by Peter Bracke

Paramount has officially announced the July release of 'Drillbit Taylor,' which hits Blu-ray in an extended edition with a host of HD bonus features.

As previously reported, Paramount had issued a July 29 Blu-ray street date to retailers for the Owen Wilson comedy (four weeks following the standard DVD), but stopped short of issuing any specs or supplement details.

Now the full skinny is in, with the Blu-ray featuring an extended version of the film spread across a BD-50 dual-layer disc and presented in 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.

Extras include audio commentary (by director Steven Brill, screenwriter Kristofor Brown, and actors Troy Gentile, Nate Hartley, and David Dorfman), plus a raft of video materials in full HD video, among them six featurettes ( "The Writers Get a Chance to Talk: Kristofor Brown and Seth Rogen," "Rap Off," "Bully," "Sprinkler Day," "Directing Kids," "The Real Don: Danny McBride"), 19 extended and deleted scenes, a "Line-O-Rama" montage, and gag reel.

Finally, Paramount has revealed the final Blu-ray box art for 'Drillbit Taylor':

As previously announced, Paramount has set a suggested retail price of $39.95.

You'll find final specs for 'Drillbit Taylor' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under July 29.
