OnLive Comes to iOS and Android Devices

Posted Dec 8, 2011 at 06:30 AM PST by Dick Ward

Custom touch screen controls are available for some games, others can use a wireless controller.

OnLive's cloud gaming service doesn't have much appeal to those with a killer gaming PC and console owners may find it hard to justify. There's an audience there though, and it's about to get bigger.

OnLive is hitting both iOS and Android devices this week along with a wireless controller. The apps are free, but the controller comes in at $49. The nice thing though, is that some of the games won't even require a controller.

Though initially created as PC games, Onlive says that touchscreen controls will work just fine with titles like 'L.A. Noire' which Rockstar came in to create custom controls for.
