4K, OLED, and zSpace virtual-holographic 3D displays are among the Chinese electronics companies latest TVs being demoed at CES.
TCL has detailed its 2014 line of displays all currently being showcased at CES. The lineup includes curved-screen models and even a virtual-holographic display.
"The global scope of CES makes it the ideal stage to unveil our newest product offerings such as the TCL line of OLED, Curved Ultra-HD TVs and the TCL X-key," said Hao E, acting CEO of TCL Multimedia and Vice President of TCL Corporation. "This year's lineup also features several products co-developed by our international partners and demonstrates our increasing global footprint as a leader in technology and entertainment."
Among the company's offerings is a 55-inch OLED TV that promises a wider color gamut and superior contrast over traditional LCD displays. Next up is the TCL Curved Ultra-HD TV which features a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and a curved display that is designed with the arc angle of the retina in mind. Even more intriguing, is the company's zSpace TV which uses virtual-holographic 3D imagery from zSpace to create interactive 3D images outside of the TV screen. The set comes with an infrared pen and 3D glasses. Finally, TCL will also be demoing an 85-inch TV with a Touch Pen geared toward artists, and a 110-inch China Star LCD that features multi-picture sharing so families can watch different programs simultaneously.
Pricing and release dates for the announced TV models have not been revealed, but all of the sets will be on display at Booth 9825 at CES.
