The starship Discovery is setting a course for CBS All Access in January.
CBS All Access and Netflix have released new previews and info for several of their upcoming programs and films.
Here's a full rundown of titles scheduled to arrive on each service:
Star Trek: Discovery Season Two (CBS All Access, January 17) - Follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.
Bird Box (Netflix, December 21) - When a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, only one thing is certain: if you see it, you take your life. Facing the unknown, Malorie finds love, hope and a new beginning only for it to unravel. Now she must flee with her two children down a treacherous river to the one place left that may offer sanctuary. But to survive, they'll have to undertake the perilous two-day journey blindfolded. Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock leads an all-star cast that includes Trevante Rhodes, with Sarah Paulson, and John Malkovich in #BirdBox, a compelling new thriller from Academy Award winner Susanne Bier.
3Below: Tales of Arcadia (Netflix, December 21) - From visionary director Guillermo del Toro and the team behind DreamWorks Trollhunters comes an epic, hilarious tale of alien royalty who must escape intergalactic bounty hunters by blending in on a primitive junk heap known as Earth.
Struggle: The Life and Lost Art of Szukalski (Netflix, December 21) - From Producer Leonardo DiCaprio comes a Netflix original documentary film about Stanislaw Szukalski, an eccentric artist and self proclaimed genius from Poland. After gaining fame leading up to WW2 he fell into obscurity only to be re-discovered late in life. He’s one of the greatest artists you’ve never heard of.
7 Days Out (Netflix, December 21) - A behind-the-scenes look at the most iconic cultural events in fashion, sports, food, gaming, and space. 7 Days Out gives you an exclusive look at what it takes to create and pull off the CHANEL Haute Couture Fashion Show, the Kentucky Derby, the Westminster Dog Show, the League Of Legends Championship, NASA's Cassini Mission and the opening of Eleven Madison Park. With everything at stake, what can happen in seven days?
Watership Down (Netflix, December 23) - A warren of rabbits battles many threats on their daring journey to find a new home in this adaptation of the classic novel by Richard Adams. James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Daniel Kaluuya, Ben Kingsley, Olivia Colman and many more lend their voices to this epic tale.
Standup and Away! with Brian Regan (Netflix, December 24) - A little bit of this. A little bit of that. And a whole lot of comedy. Brian Regan blends live stand-up with sketches and audience interaction in this hybrid four-part comedy series produced by Jerry Seinfeld.
Alexa & Katie: Season 2 (Netflix, December 26) - The second season of this multi-camera sitcom follows the indomitable best friends through their sophomore year of high school. With hair on their heads, Alexa and Katie tackle the challenges of high school and the lingering complications of Alexa's cancer with the comfort of knowing that together, they can get through anything. Featuring Paris Berelc, Isabel May, Tiffani Thiessen, Emery Kelly, Jolie Jenkins, Eddie Shin, Finn Carr, Jack Griffo and Kerri Medders.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 3 (Netflix, January 1) - Recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans – Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil uncle Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. After foiling his many dastardly plans and disguises, the young siblings might finally discover the truth about their parents’ mysterious death, while unraveling the layers of a clandestine organization, and revealing the secrets of the coveted, missing sugar bowl.
COMEDIANS of the world: Standup (Netflix, January 1) - This global, first-of-its-kind, series will bring together 47 comedians from 13 regions in 8 languages in an unprecedented stand-up comedy event series. The groundbreaking series will feature a range of stand-up specials from comedians diverse in style, gender and ethnicity. Get ready for the comedy event of the year.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix, January 25) - After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City.
Kingdom (Netflix, January 25) - In a kingdom defeated by corruption and famine, a mysterious plague spreads to turn the infected into monsters. The crown prince, framed for treason and desperate to save his people, sets out on a journey to unveil what evil lurks in the dark.
Russian Doll: Season 1 (Netflix, February 1) - Follows a young woman named Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) on her journey as the guest of honor at a seemingly inescapable party one night in New York City. Russian Doll is co-created by Natasha Lyonne, Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland, who all serve as executive producers, with Headland and Lyonne as writers for the series.
Siempre Bruja: Always a Witch (Netflix, February 1) - A young witch takes us on a journey through time in between the past and present of the city of Cartagena, where she faces unknown challenges that will make her realize that once a witch, Always a Witch.
Selena: The Series (Netflix, Coming Soon) - As Mexican-American Tejano singer Selena comes of age and realizes her dreams, she and her family make tough choices to hold on to love and music.
