Mitsubishi’s Unisen Immersive Sound TVs Announced

LED Edge lighting, Immersive Sound technology, and built-in wireless internet make up 2010’s key features.

The newest LCD sets from Mitsubishi – all of which feature edge based LED backlighting – don’t come in smaller sizes.

They do, however, come with a built-in multi-speaker sound bar. They’ve also got 12-bit video processing, StreamTV internet content and four HDMI inputs. The baseline 154 series is the base model, and comes in one size. You can get the 55” 154 for $2,499.

Mitsubishi’s 164 line offers sixteen speaker Immersive Sound along with a few other bonuses. Unlike the 154, you’ll get built-in wireless networking, Bluetooth audio streaming, and a few tweaks including Advanced Video Calibration. Pricing ranges from $1,699 for the 40” set up to $2,699 for 55”.

The Diamond 265 tops things off by adding two more speakers to the Immersive Sound experience. You’ll also get True 240Hz, a new design with a blue light accent, 18-Bit video processing and plenty of options for both audio and video calibration. The 265 is available at $2,499 for the 46” model or $3,199 for the 55”
