'SimCity Cities of Tomorrow' Coming this November.
EA and Maxis 'SimCity' has already spread from the PC to Mac platforms, but will receive its first expansion in the form of 'SimCity Cities of Tomorrow.' While the expansion features the classic 'SimCity 2000' arcologies, it does not feature larger maps or offline play, as so many have requested.
From EA, "Built upon the foundation of the ultimate city building simulation that has more than 2 million players worldwide, SimCity Cities of Tomorrow gives players the ability to transform their cities as they take them on a journey 50 years into the future. Using new technologies and experimental urban planning techniques, mayors will shape the destinies of their cities, thriving in a utopia of clean technologies, or a dystopia of hyper-commercialism."
The return of arcologies is being described as multi-zone MegaTowers that will allow an unprecedented level of expansion towards the sky. Players can push their cities towards the evil and exploitative OmegaCo or the utopian Academy.
'SimCity Cities of Tomorrow' is being developed by Maxis, and is due Novemeber 12th for both the PC and Mac.
