Sony Shows Off The Amazing Stadiums of 'MLB 14 The Show' for the PS4

Still no Citgo sign for Fenway.

While the 2014 Major League Baseball season has gotten underway, many fans are still waiting what may be the best part, 'MLB 14 The Show' for the PS4. Today, Sony shared some of the first in-depth footage of the PS4 version and the feature 'The Cathedrals Are Better on PS4' exhibits a clear focus on replicating the many unique features of each stadium. Of course, some features are more common than others, and Sony is talking about even being able the render individual blades of grass where necessary.

While the extensive use of specula maps makes various details pop, and the grounds are varied enough to allow for models of children, it's the overall density of normal map wrapped geometry that allows for so many venue specific deatils.
