The company has revealed a new series of wireless home audio products.
LG has detailed its upcoming Music Flow collection. The audio lineup includes three speakers (the H3, H5, and H7), a sound bar (HS6), a network bridge (R1), and a mobile app, allowing customers to enjoy music wirelessly throughout their home.
"LG Music Flow takes the fast-growing concept of wireless multi-room audio systems to a new level with its smart convenience and superior sound quality," said Byung-hoon Min, senior vice president of the LG Home Entertainment Company audio-video division. "Our advanced system can create a personal soundtrack that not only follows the listener from room to room, but also when the user enters the home. LG engineers have set a whole new standard by introducing features and functions to the wireless audio system category that have never been available before on competing units."
The Music Flow includes LG Home Chat integration for mobile recommendations, an NFC tag function, and Line app support. In addition, the system features an Auto Music Play option letting users switch from outdoor smartphone playback to indoor speaker playback automatically. Likewise, the LG Music Flow player app provides easy access to a customer's digital music library, automatic playlists designed for different moods, and streaming music services like Spotify, Deezer, Napster and TuneIn. Finally, the Music Flow system also makes use of mesh network tech, dual band Wi-Fi, and 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback across multiple inter-connectable devices.
Pricing has not been detailed yet, but the LG H7 70W speaker, H5 40W speaker, and the R1 Network Bridge will be available in the UK later this month and will then expand to more markets following IFA 2014 in Berlin. The H3 30W speaker and the HS6 320W Sound Bar will be released around the world soon after.
