The heroes of 'Justice League' are flying to next-gen this August, when Warner releases the first season of the popular animated series on Blu-ray with a host of bonus features.
Following the successful high-def release of the direct-to-video premiere film 'Justice League: The New Frontier' earlier this year, Warner will debut 'Justice League: Season One' on Blu-ray August 19 (the studio previously-released the title on standard DVD).
Featuring 26 episodes spread across three BD-50 dual-layer discs, video comes in 1080p/VC-1 (at 1.78:1), with Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround audio (no high-res option is provided) and subtitles in English, French, and Spanish.
Extras include filmmaker audio commentaries on three episodes, a pair of featurettes ("Storyboards: The Blueprints of Justice," "The Look of the Justice League"), the "Inside Justice League" creators' panel discussion, "Justice League: The First Mission" never-before-seen promo, and a Blackhawk Theme music video.
Finally, Warner has also issued box art for the Blu-ray release of 'Justice League: Season One':
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $59.95.
