The kids of 'High School Musical' are coming back to high-def, with Disney announcing a February release for their latest big-screen blockbuster.
Earning nearly $100 million at the domestic box office, the smash sequel 'High School Musical 3' (the franchise's first to hit the big screen) will arrive on Blu-ray February 17, day-and-date with the standard DVD. (It will also arrive the same day as the just-announced 'High School Musical: Remix' Blu-ray.)
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Extras include multiple making-of featurettes, deleted scenes, bloopers and additional "Cast Goodbyes."
Exclusive to the Blu-ray are cast profiles, a "Senior Awards" vignette, a Digital Copy of the film (standard-def-only) and BD-Live interactivity.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.98.
