DISH promises a seamless experience at just $179 up front and $4 a month.
One of the coolest features of Google TV is its ability to integrate with your DVR. You can control your recordings directly from the device, change channels on your TV and do everything you'd normally be able to do. You can also search through both your DVR and online sources for the show you want to watch.
This kind of integration is impressive, but it's currently only available from DISH Network. For $179 and an additional $4 a month DISH subscribers can get a Logitech Revue of their very own. It's compatible with several DISH DVRs including the ViP 622, ViP 722 and ViP 722k.
"Only DISH Network customers will have access to the most fully-featured Google TV experience available," says DISH marketing officer Ira Bahr. "Customers can now surf the Web, check email, interact with social media, and find additional online television content all from the comfort of their living room sofa."
DISH customers wanting to order a Revue must do so from DISH to get the special pricing.
