The sequel to 'Demon's Souls' is finally here, ready to test your abilities with some old-school challenges.
If you played 'Demon's Souls' then you have some idea what to expect from 'Dark Souls.' It's an incredibly difficult game created by From Software - if the name looks familiar, they also did '3D Dot Game Heroes' - that gives you a slick action RPG experience.
From says that the experience and feedback they got from the rabid 'Dark Souls' player base helped to improve on the new game. For example, there's a slightly more forgiving system for saving your progress in a dungeon, but as a result the game has gotten even more difficult. It's a nice tradeoff.
"Gamers have been eagerly anticipating the release of 'Dark Souls' since falling in love with the uniquely challenging gameplay first pioneered with the PlayStation 3 exclusive 'Demon’s Souls',' says publisher Namco Bandai's Carlson Choi. " With 'Dark Souls' available on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, more gamers than ever will get the chance to explore the massive, seamless open world of the Northern Realms as they save the land from darkness. I hope they’re prepared. To die."
