Fox Scares Up 'Shutter' Blu-ray This Summer

Fox has announced a July release of the horror remake 'Shutter,' which will come to high-def in a never-before-seen unrated version.

Starring Joshua Jackson and Rachael Taylor ('Transformers'), the PG-13-rated 'Shutter grossed $25 million at the domestic box office. Fox will debut the film July 15 on Blu-ray, day-and-date with the standard DVD.

Out-spooking the theatrical version with all-new footage and an alternate ending, the Unrated version of 'Shutter' will be presented on a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.

Extras are extensive, and include audio commentary (with Taylor, production executive Alex Sundell and screenwriter Luke Dawson), five featurettes ("Cultural Divide," "The Director: Masayuki Ochiai," "A Conversation With Luke Dawson," "Create Your Own Phantom Photo," "The Hunt For The Haunt: Tools And Tips For Ghost Hunting"), nine deleted scenes plus an alternate ending, and an exclusive first look at the upcoming Fox horror film 'Mirror.'

Exclusive to the Blu-ray are the Fox Movie Channel Presents special "In Character With Joshua Jackson," a trio of "Japanese Spirit Photography Videos," and three additional deleted scenes.

Fox has set the suggested retail price for the Blu-ray at $39.98.
