In an early alert to retailers, Fox has set a September Blu-ray debut for the Russian action blockbusters 'Night Watch' and 'Day Watch.'
Dubbed "the Russian Matrix, both 'Night Watch' and its sequel 'Day Watch' were box office phenomenons in their native country, and have gone on to achieve cult status in the United States thanks to home video.
Fox has set a September 9th next-gen debut for both films, with each receiving their own stand-alone Blu-ray release.
The studio has yet to issue tech specs or supplement details, but the previous DVD releases were crammed with extras, so we hope some if not all of the same materials will find its way to the Blu-ray. As always, we'll keep you posted.
Fox has set a suggested list price of $39.98 each for the Blu-ray releases.
While we await full releases details, you'll find preliminary specs for 'Night Watch' and 'Day Watch' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under September 9.
